Situated primarily in Columbus, OH, this role is critical to strengthening executive relationships and managing strategic alliances with key customers. This position demands a sophisticated understanding of customer needs combined with a collaborative approach to harness the full range of GE Vernova’s electrification portfolio. The Strategic Account Manager will own and nurture relationships from the C-suite level down, ensuring that both GE Vernova and its customers benefit from a unified and strategic approach to account management. \n\nReporting directly to the Vice President of North America Business Development, the Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for crafting and executing robust three-year account strategies that align GE Vernova’s business objectives with the customer’s long-term goals and culture. They will represent a comprehensive portfolio across multiple business lines, coordinating complex, multi-business line solutions, and driving growth through internal collaboration and external customer engagement. This high-visibility position requires a blend of strategic vision, strong interpersonal communication skills, and a thorough understanding of the competitive energy landscape. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience in direct sales, commercial, marketing, account management or related roles
- Minimum 5 years of experience in energy, transmission and distribution, power generation, or renewables sectors
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time
- Proximity to customer center of competence or willingness to relocate
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Successful completion of drug screen as applicable
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related discipline from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 8 years of experience in direct sales, commercial, marketing, account management or related customer-facing roles
- Minimum 5 years of experience in energy, transmission and distribution, power generation, or renewables industry
- Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining cross-business relationships at multiple levels
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Proven track record in developing customer relationships at the C-suite level
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Strong interpersonal, written, presentation, and communication skills
- Knowledge of utility economics and competitive landscape
- Experience navigating business units to align company vision with customer strategy
- Advanced degree preferred
- Strong financial management skills
- Strong preference for candidates located near major airports

Job Duties
- Own the customer relationship from the C-suite down and ensure executive sponsorship is valued and provided by both organizations
- Own, drive the co-creation of, and maintain a holistic 3+ year account strategy and plan that aligns the business strategies, priorities, and products/services with the customer’s long term strategic plan, objectives, needs, and culture
- Represent the entire ELEC and GEV portfolio, and support collaboration across ELEC and GEV Business Lines for opportunities which require complex or multi-business line solutions
- Coordinate with ELEC business line sales, services, execution and functional teams, as well as other business units and key account executives as appropriate
- Act as a central point of contact that facilitates and advocates for both GE Vernova and the customer
- Develop and drive the account relationship mapping process and arrange regular business reviews
- Collaborate with Strategic Account Executive counterpart from EDGE to increase penetration and strategy development across GE Vernova
- Co-sell with sales counterparts from Gas and Wind Power to improve attach rates to new generation projects
- Understand competitors’ offerings and develop counterstrategies to increase share of wallet and win rates
- Leverage operational data and metrics to monitor the health of the customer relationship, satisfaction, and overall account growth and profitability
