The role of the SR Prime General Manager is pivotal in ensuring the steakhouse operates at peak efficiency while providing exemplary service to guests. This leadership position encompasses full responsibility for the overall operation of SR Prime, including the selection, training, scheduling, and development of all food and beverage staff. The General Manager plays an essential role in cultivating a positive work environment, improving operational systems, and enhancing the restaurant's financial performance. A hands-on and proactive management style is critical, as this leader must inspire the team and lead by example while maintaining close collaboration with the culinary team to ensure the highest standards of food quality and guest satisfaction.

This position involves developing and implementing effective systems and control methods, managing the department budget, and enforcing company policies and procedures to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The General Manager is expected to uphold all health and safety standards while maintaining an inviting and clean environment. They are also responsible for inventory management, including the ordering of food, beverages, and supplies, as well as overseeing food preparation and presentation. By monitoring financial transactions, maintaining budgets, and optimizing labor and food costs, the General Manager ensures the profitability and sustainability of the steakhouse.

In addition to operational duties, the General Manager plays a vital role in marketing strategies by working alongside company directors to develop local promotions and marketing plans to attract and retain clientele. Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Associates degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 7 years of related experience with 5 years in supervisory capacity preferred in fine dining
  • Prefer food service or Culinary Arts degree
  • Knowledge of food and beverage planning and production procedures
  • Working knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) system
  • Commitment to guest service excellence and ethical conduct

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years or older

  • Thorough knowledge of food and beverage planning and production procedures

Job Duties

  • Schedules directs supervises trains and develops all steakhouse staff
  • Ensures compliance with all department and company sales regulations policies procedures internal controls and government rules and regulations
  • Develops and maintains a high standard of safety and sanitation
  • Follows a requisition system of restocking by managing inventory and ordering food beverages equipment and supplies
  • Oversees food preparation portion sizes and overall presentation of food
  • Inspects supplies equipment and work areas
  • Ensures employees comply with health and food safety standards and regulations
  • Investigates and resolves complaints regarding food quality or service
  • Schedules staff hours and assigns duties
  • Maintains budgets and payroll records and reviews financial transactions
  • Establishes standards for personnel performance and customer service
  • Optimizes profits by controlling food and labor cost and expenses daily
  • Oversees all aspects of purchasing within the restaurant
  • Promotes positive public and employee relations
  • Interfaces professionally with all vendors and guests
  • Takes direction from Company Directors on marketing plans and helps develop effective marketing strategies
  • Initiates and develops strong local marketing programs
  • Ensures quality of beverage food service and physical structure
  • Meets with chef regarding product handling procedures and freshness
  • Performs other duties as assigned
