The Restaurant General Manager position at Sadelle's is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the restaurant. This includes managing a dynamic team that consists of assistant managers and service staff to ensure seamless daily operations that adhere to MGM Resorts’ high standards. The General Manager is instrumental in driving the restaurant's financial success by optimizing reservations, controlling labor costs, maintaining inventory, and implementing marketing strategies that boost cover counts and revenue.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant restaurant management experience
  • Prior experience in high-volume or luxury dining settings preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Knowledge of luxury hospitality service standards
  • Ability to lead diverse teams
  • Understanding of labor laws and collective bargaining agreements
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience in a high-volume or luxury fine-dining restaurant preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Forbes Travel Guide standards and luxury hospitality best practices
  • Experience managing employees under collective bargaining agreements preferred
  • Ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues efficiently

Job Duties

  • Owns, leads and oversees daily restaurant operations, labor productivity, scheduling, inventory control, guest service standards, and execution and development of marketing strategies to produce both short-term and long-term profitability
  • Co-own (with Executive Chef) the restaurant’s business plan and represent the restaurant in divisional, property or corporate meetings
  • Responsible for execution of policies, operating procedures, pricing initiatives, training programs, directives, menus, rules and regulations for the restaurant staff
  • Owns restaurant’s execution of F&B and/or company-wide initiatives and programs
  • Maintain the highest standards of health, sanitation and cleanliness within all areas of Beverage
  • Responsible for completion of all company compliance training by the restaurant staff
  • Manages Human Resources responsibilities for Restaurant to include creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback (coaching and counseling), recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction
  • Champions the company’s labor relations philosophy and ensures compliance with policies, employment laws, legal requirements, and collective bargaining agreements
  • Interacts with guests frequently to ensure satisfaction and enjoyment of dining experience
  • Reacts to guest complaints and takes appropriate action
  • Manages guest feedback channels through approved company practices
  • Collaborate with Executive Chef and culinary team to ensure a seamless service experience between kitchen and dining room
  • Maintains excellent knowledge of venue’s food & beverage products, menu items and equipment used to perform duties
