Job Description

Confidential Rooftop Restaurant & Bar is an exciting new Mediterranean-inspired dining destination set to open in Fall 2026 in the Steele Creek area of Charlotte, North Carolina. This establishment will offer guests a vibrant rooftop experience with a 120-seat indoor/outdoor space designed to transport visitors through a combination of Mediterranean cuisine and a cocktail-forward bar program. The concept is built to be a high-energy rooftop venue and promises a unique culinary adventure with a restaurant and bar ambiance that is sophisticated yet approachable. The restaurant aims to become a major hotspot in Charlotte, attracting locals and visitors alike who seek quality food, innovative cocktails, and an unforgettable atmosphere. The space is crafted to provide both indoor comfort and outdoor allure, creating an environment that embraces Charlotte's climate and enhances the guest experience. This project is a ground-floor opportunity for dynamic hospitality leaders to come in, build something from scratch, and leave a lasting mark on every aspect of the restaurant's design, culture, and operation.

The role open at this exciting venue is for a General Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the entire restaurant operation from pre-opening through launch and ongoing operations thereafter. This leadership position reports directly to the ownership group and offers a competitive annual compensation package ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 plus a bonus opportunity. The General Manager will spearhead every facet of the restaurant's development, including hiring and training the front of house and back of house leadership teams, establishing service standards, and building operational systems that drive success. This position requires a strategic, hands-on operator with a deep passion for hospitality and a proven track record of managing high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environments. The candidate will have true ownership over the brand-new restaurant opening, leading a $3 to $4 million-plus revenue business that serves dinner, brunch, and host events.

A major aspect of the role includes managing the unique kitchen model consisting of a prep kitchen downstairs and a rooftop finishing line, requiring an adaptable approach to kitchen operations. The General Manager will own the full profit and loss, monitoring labor, food and beverage costs, and overall profitability to ensure financial success. Driving a strong beverage program is a critical focus, as the restaurant emphasizes a cocktail-forward bar model. Daily responsibilities involve overseeing operations such as scheduling, service execution, guest experience, and maintaining strong partnerships with all operational stakeholders. The candidate will cultivate a high-performance culture grounded in accountability and hospitality excellence, fostering a team environment where staff are empowered and guests receive top-tier service. As a new enterprise, this role offers an unparalleled leadership challenge with the creative freedom to shape the future of the restaurant and bar, making it an incredible opportunity for motivated leaders seeking to build a legacy in the hospitality industry.
