Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in restaurant management
- prior experience in assistant manager or supervisory roles
- in-depth knowledge of restaurant operations and culinary processes
- proven leadership and staff development capabilities
- ability to maintain high standards of guest service and food safety
- proficiency with POS systems such as Toast POS
- ability to manage multiple priorities in high-pressure environments
- certification in food handling and knowledge of health and safety regulations
- experience in kitchen supervision and catering coordination
- strong organizational and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Proven restaurant management experience (5 year minimum)
- prior assistant manager or supervisory roles are highly valued
- Extensive knowledge of restaurant operations including food preparation techniques, kitchen management, POS systems (Toast POS), inventory control, and cash handling procedures
- Strong culinary background with experience in quick service and casual dining environments
- fine dining or hotel experience is a plus
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train staff effectively and develop talent within the team
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations
- certification in food handling
- Experience supervising kitchen operations including food production and catering services
- banquet experience is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills for shift management, budgeting, and operational planning
- Exceptional communication skills for interviewing candidates, staff training sessions, and customer interactions
Job Duties
- Lead daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service during all shifts while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness
- Manage staff recruitment, training, development, and performance evaluations to build a cohesive and motivated team
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards across all menu items
- Supervise kitchen management and food production activities to optimize efficiency and consistency
- Control inventory levels through accurate inventory management practices such as inventory control systems (e.g., Toast POS) to minimize waste and maximize profitability
- Handle cash management duties including cash handling procedures, balancing registers, and preparing financial reports
- Implement and monitor POS systems for order processing, sales tracking, and reporting to streamline operations
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Oversee shift management to ensure proper staffing levels and smooth transitions between shifts
- Conduct staff training sessions focused on food handling, food safety protocols, hospitality standards, and operational procedures
- Coordinate catering events, banquets, or special functions as needed to enhance revenue streams
- Develop budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-control measures to achieve financial targets
- Ensure compliance with health codes, safety regulations, and sanitation standards across the restaurant
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
