Job Description

The hiring establishment is a luxury Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) known for its commitment to excellence in senior living. As an established luxury CCRC, the community focuses on providing a refined and service-focused living environment that prioritizes the overall well-being and satisfaction of its residents. This community emphasizes a hospitality-driven culture where dining is regarded as a vital aspect of the resident experience, offering more than just food service but a holistic approach to elevated hospitality. Sodexo, a global leader in food services and facilities management, partners with this community to deliver an outstanding dining and hospitality program that meets the expectations of discerning senior residents.

This employment opportunity is for a Director of Dining & Hospitality, an innovative and visionary leader who will act as the chief executive officer of the dining experience within the community. The role is not a traditional food service position but a leadership role with a focus on creativity, operational excellence, resident engagement, and hospitality innovation. This leader will be pivotal in shaping the dining, catering, and resident experience programs to create an environment where residents feel genuinely valued every day. The position requires a highly visible and passionate professional who understands the importance of dining in contributing to the residents’ quality of life.

The Director of Dining & Hospitality will lead and manage all aspects of dining, hospitality, catering, and service operations in a luxury setting. They are responsible for driving creativity and innovation in resident engagement through food and service experiences, overseeing high-profile events, special dining occasions, and catering that elevate the community’s hospitality standards. The role involves managing budgets, labor forecasting, and financial performance to ensure the program’s sustainability without compromising quality. Furthermore, this leader will inspire and develop culinary and hospitality teams while maintaining strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, healthcare, and regulatory standards.

In partnership with senior leadership, the Director will contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance the overall resident experience. The role demands an individual who thinks outside the box, challenges norms, and balances creativity with disciplined financial and operational management. Experience in luxury senior living, hospitality, upscale dining, or catering within healthcare hospitality programs is highly desirable. Candidates with CDM certification are preferred but it is not mandatory.

Sodexo offers a comprehensive compensation package that reflects the candidate's education, experience, and skills. Benefits include medical, dental, vision care, wellness programs, 401(k) with matching contributions, paid time off, company holidays, career growth opportunities, and tuition reimbursement. Sodexo is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees are valued and respected, providing equal employment opportunities without discrimination. This role represents a unique chance to lead a top-tier dining and hospitality program in an environment dedicated to improving the quality of life for senior residents.
