Job Description
Kessler Hospitality is a distinguished portfolio of artistically inspired boutique hotels known for their unique design, luxurious accommodations, and enriching ambiance paired with intuitive service. The company operates several properties located in Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Each hotel is characterized by its exquisite blend of art, music, and diverse cultural influences specifically crafted to appeal to the individualist traveler. The company’s commitment to style and originality is evident in its properties ranging from cutting-edge downtown icons to premier luxury lodges, vibrant entertainment destinations, and elite ski resorts. Notably, Kessler Hospitality was the founding member of the Marriott Autograph Collection, which commenced with seven uniquely branded hotels, each created to offer guests a bold and original experience steeped in redefined Bohemian luxury.
One of their flagship properties, located on the falls of the iconic Reedy River in the heart of Downtown Greenville, is a AAA Four Diamond boutique lodge. This intimate property welcomes guests seeking to immerse themselves in the natural beauty and cultural richness of the area. Whether guests are pursuing adventurous outdoor experiences or indulging in the luxurious spa, the hotel offers restorative and rejuvenating experiences enhanced by breathtaking views, curated art collections, and earth-inspired design elements. Floor-to-ceiling windows, elegant balconies, and majestic accents feature prominently throughout the lodge, creating a seamless blend of comfort and grandeur.
The lodge also boasts a variety of premium amenities including an outdoor bar and restaurant called Between the Trees overlooking the Reedy River, a well-maintained event lawn, an on-site spa, an art gallery, a fitness center, and hiking trails. These facilities ensure that guests remain deeply connected to both the local environment and the enriching experiences designed to awaken all senses. Within this inspiring setting, the Food & Beverage Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the outlet’s operations, ensuring that each guest encounter is characterized by exceptional quality and service. This role demands a harmonious balance of operational expertise, high standards of customer service, and leadership acumen, all focused on maintaining profitable outlets that uphold the company’s reputation for excellence.
The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and directing every aspect of the food and beverage outlet’s daily operational activities. This includes marketing initiatives aimed at promoting business growth, reducing employee turnover, maintaining budget compliance both in revenue and payroll, and consistently delivering top-tier products and service. The incumbent must foster a collaborative environment by working effectively with other managers and keeping communication fluid to promptly address arising issues. Emphasizing guest satisfaction, the manager aids in menu planning, ensures compliance with health, sanitation, liquor laws, and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and vigilantly monitors the quality of service during meal periods.
In addition to operational management, this role involves hands-on leadership, including floor presence during peak times to assist staff, conducting staff performance reviews, delivering training aligned with corporate standards, and participating in recruitment processes. Understanding and implementing corporate promotions and consistently completing necessary administrative reporting rounds out the comprehensive responsibilities. The position requires a proactive, attentive, and service-oriented approach combined with strong communication skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic hospitality environment. Overall, this role is pivotal in upholding the high standards synonymous with Kessler Hospitality’s brand and delivering extraordinary experiences within its luxurious boutique lodge setting in Greenville, South Carolina.
