As part of its continued growth strategy, Cunningham Restaurant Group is seeking an experienced General Manager to join its dynamic leadership team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This position offers a unique chance to lead the CRG dining presence within the Electric Works development, one of the area's most vibrant mixed-use hospitality destinations. The role of General Manager at CRG is ideal for a highly adaptable and resourceful hospitality professional who thrives in fast-paced, diverse environments and enjoys managing multiple restaurant service styles. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing operations across multiple concepts—potentially up to three distinct dining experiences—ranging from quick service and casual dining to full-service dining and elevated social atmospheres.
The successful General Manager will demonstrate a hands-on leadership approach, combining strong business acumen with the ability to foster a positive and inclusive company culture. This role requires managing all facets of day-to-day restaurant operations, including team leadership, financial oversight, guest satisfaction, and quality assurance. Job Duties
- Provide strong leadership to all staff members, setting a high standard for professionalism and service excellence
- recruit, train, and develop a top-tier team of culinary and service professionals
- create a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and growth in front and back of house
- ensure an unparalleled fine dining experience for all guests by maintaining the highest standards of service and quality
- address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
- regularly interact with customers to gather feedback and ensure their satisfaction
- develop and manage the restaurant budget, controlling costs and optimizing revenue
- implement effective inventory management and cost control strategies
- analyze financial reports and make data-driven decisions to improve profitability
- oversee day-to-day operations including reservations, food and beverage service, and kitchen operations
- maintain and uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations
- collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to create and update the menu
- actively participate in cooking based on volume and needs
- collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing strategies and promotions
- drive initiatives to increase restaurant visibility and attract new customers
- engage in awareness of local activities and build relationships in surrounding communities
