Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. This full-time position is ideal for an individual with extensive experience in managing a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment. The General Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the restaurant, including staff recruitment, development, and performance evaluations. This role requires a strategic thinker who can optimize profits, maintain inventory, ensure compliance with company standards, and deliver an outstanding guest experience. Reporting directly to the Regional Director, the General Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the restaurant's success through effective leadership, operational oversight, and a customer-centric focus.

Job Requirements

  • 5 years of high volume restaurant experience preferred
  • BA/BS degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable
  • Ability to handle interruptions and distractions without losing focus on details
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of computers including MS Word and Excel
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Proactive, self-disciplined and outgoing
  • Capable of lifting and handling supplies weighing up to 45 pounds
  • Willingness to work varied hours when necessary.

Job Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in hotel/restaurant management is desirable

Job Duties

  • Commit to passionately, intensely, uncompromisingly humble hospitality and high-quality guest experience
  • Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance to the guest experience
  • Manage shifts including daily decision making, scheduling, and planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs
  • Prepare schedules and ensure the restaurant is staffed for all shifts
  • Handle the pressures of coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to problems
  • Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility and labor costs
  • Maintain the restaurant image including cleanliness, proper uniforms, appearance and atmospheric standards
  • Keep Regional Director informed of all issues and take prompt corrective action where necessary
  • Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate
  • Complete accident reports promptly when guests or employees are injured
  • Successfully run high-volume stores
  • Estimate food and beverage costs for efficient provisioning and purchasing
  • Help create systems, structure, and tools to support growth
  • Bring ideas and perspective with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Possess leadership skills to teach, coach and develop a large team
  • Interview, hire, supervise, develop and terminate hourly employees
  • Ensure positive guest service and respond appropriately to complaints
  • Share love of great food and drinks.
