As a General Manager and Licensed Cosmetologist at Madison Reed's Hair Color Bars, you will play a pivotal role in driving the business's success while fostering a dynamic and inspiring team culture. This full-time leadership position reports to the District Manager and requires availability during weekends, holidays, and other high-demand periods. The salary range for this role is competitive, between $60,000 and $65,000 annually, with additional opportunities to earn monthly bonuses based on performance metrics. Factors influencing starting pay include geography, market conditions, skills, education, and prior experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of one of Madison Reed's Hair Color Bars. Your leadership will guide a team comprising Shift Leads, Client Support Specialists, Colorists, and Assistant Colorists to deliver premium customer service and achieve key business goals. You will be expected to uphold the company’s operational standards and ensure that the Hair Color Bar embodies cleanliness, professional merchandising, accurate inventory management, and adherence to all procedural guidelines.

Key elements of your mission include guest satisfaction, business growth, and team development—building a strong community presence through positive relationships and innovative business strategies. You will lead by example, exhibiting sales and service excellence in every interaction with guests, and resolving any service issues with professionalism and care. Additionally, you must be proficient in all services offered at the Hair Color Bars, including stepping in as a practicing colorist when necessary to maintain service quality and operational continuity.

As a General Manager, you will not only manage daily business operations but also act as a mentor and coach to your team, fostering an environment where individuals’ talents are recognized and developed. You will take responsibility for recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new team members, managing schedules in line with forecasts and labor laws, and consistently driving the team's performance to exceed sales targets and other key performance indicators such as retail sales, services, and membership growth.

This role also includes the flexibility to support other locations and managers within the district as needed, whether by providing training, remote support, or on-site assistance. Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods, bending and reaching, and regular communication with guests and team members to ensure a seamless and enjoyable salon experience.
