Job Description

Located in the vibrant city of Seattle, Washington, this luxury independent lifestyle hotel is a distinguished player in the hospitality sector. Renowned for its dedication to excellence and offering an unmatched guest experience, the property has solidified its reputation as a premier destination for discriminating travelers. The hotel features between 100 and 300 guestrooms, providing a boutique yet spacious environment that appeals to both leisure and business clientele. This property emphasizes a blend of sophisticated comfort and contemporary style, attracting guests seeking a personalized and memorable stay in the heart of Seattle. It boasts a destination Food & Beverage operation with multiple restaurants and bars that are key contributors to its commercial success and community engagement. The hotel aims to maintain its strong market positioning through strategic leadership, innovative marketing, and exceptional service standards.

The General Manager role is crucial to the hotel’s ongoing success and growth. This executive leadership position comes with full profit and loss accountability and requires an individual who is both a strategic thinker and an operational leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring overall property performance while fostering strong relationships with ownership, investors, and the local community. The General Manager will drive commercial results, lead dynamic Food & Beverage operations, and position the hotel as a prominent lifestyle destination within Seattle’s competitive hospitality market. This position offers a preferred base salary ranging from $200,000 to $240,000, with flexibility to approximately $260,000 for an exceptional candidate, along with a target incentive of 50 percent.

This role calls for a leader with proven entrepreneurial acumen combined with disciplined operational expertise. The ideal General Manager will have a history of successfully managing luxury independent or lifestyle hotels, demonstrating excellence in revenue generation, business development, and market presence enhancement. A strong Food & Beverage background is essential, highlighting experience in managing restaurants and bars as central business drivers. This executive must be visible in the community, building meaningful partnerships that enhance the hotel's brand and foster business growth. Active participation in the local business and hospitality network is highly valued. Ultimately, the General Manager will embody a hands-on leadership approach with a commanding executive presence while balancing the demands of operational management and external stakeholder engagement to drive the property’s prominence as one of Seattle's premier independent lifestyle hotels.
