Job Requirements

  • Documented and demonstrated restaurant management skills
  • minimum 3 years of P&L management experience in relevant restaurant setting
  • overall 5-7 years restaurant experience
  • strong leadership, delegation and issue resolution abilities
  • capable of managing multiple priorities
  • proficient in understanding and applying HMSHost policies and standards
  • excellent communication skills
  • able to work varied and rotating schedules including opening, busy, and closing shifts
  • knowledge and adherence to federal, state and local health and safety requirements
  • ability to conduct hiring and staffing decisions
  • commitment to employee engagement and development
  • must be able to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policies

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated management experience in QSR or similar restaurants
  • proven P&L responsibility with at least 3 years managing restaurant operations
  • 5-7 years of overall restaurant industry experience
  • graduation from food service management or culinary program is preferred
  • strong team management and delegation skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities
  • knowledge of HMSHost policies, products, and procedures or ability to learn quickly
  • excellent communication skills including reading and comprehending policy documents and brand standards
  • ability to promote diversity and inclusion
  • skilled in employee training and development

Job Duties

  • Open and close the restaurant ensuring all procedures and checklists are followed
  • deploy staff and manage resources to maximize profitability
  • assign work tasks and prepare schedules, ensuring shifts are covered
  • provide coaching, support, and encouragement to staff to achieve business goals
  • conduct interviews and make hiring, termination and promotion decisions
  • ensure compliance with diversity and inclusion policies
  • manage onboarding and offboarding of associates including training and compliance
  • monitor financial and operational data to track progress and assign tasks
  • recognize and motivate employees through recognition programs
  • enforce all employee engagement behaviors
  • ensure product availability and manage inventory orders
  • oversee receiving goods, processing invoices and vendor relations
  • maintain proficiency in management systems and tools
  • monitor and maintain restaurant equipment and schedule repairs
  • manage response to audits and minimize waste including participation in food donation programs
  • assess and coordinate employee training and development
  • encourage adoption of new technology
  • ensure brand standards, labor relations and lease agreements are followed
  • develop strategies to increase revenue
  • manage daily activities and resolve staff and customer issues
  • implement marketing and promotional programs
  • uphold all federal, state, and local health, safety and sanitation standards
  • train staff on wellness protocols and COVID-19 requirements
  • perform health and safety activities as per company guidelines
