The role of General Manager within this restaurant is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations to ensure a seamless, efficient, and profitable business. As the leader on-site, the General Manager exercises control over all areas of the restaurant and is empowered to make final decisions on matters impacting the guest experience and operational success. Reporting directly to the Regional Director, the role requires a professional who can manage shifts, scheduling, and staffing needs with precise attention to detail while fostering a positive and cooperative work environment. This role is critical in upholding company standards to increase sales, minimize costs, and promote safety and cleanliness, which are all essential to the restaurant’s brand image and continued growth.
Additionally, the General Manager acts as the face of the establishment by ensuring guests receive outstanding service, addressing complaints effectively, and inspiring the team with an entrepreneurial spirit and profound leadership skills. The manager is expected to contribute innovative ideas and solutions while maintaining a strong operational focus. Job Requirements
- five years of high volume restaurant experience preferred
- bachelor's degree in hotel or restaurant management desirable
- ability to handle physical demands including prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting up to 45 pounds
- ability to operate phones, computers, copiers, and other office equipment
- willing to work varied hours including filling in during emergencies
- effective interpersonal and communication skills
- strong sense of urgency
- ability to maintain focus under pressure
Job Qualifications
- bachelor's degree in hotel or restaurant management desirable
- five years of high volume restaurant experience preferred

Job Duties

- oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance to the guest experience
- manage shifts including daily decision making, scheduling, planning while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness
- maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs
- prepare schedules and ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts
- handle pressures of coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions
- adhere to company standards to increase sales and minimize costs
- maintain the restaurant image including cleanliness, uniforms, appearance, and atmosphere
- keep Regional Director informed of all issues and take prompt corrective action
- ensure a safe working and guest environment
- maintain favorable working relationships with all employees
- complete accident reports promptly
- run successfully high-volume stores
- estimate food and beverage costs for efficient provisioning
- create systems, structure, and tools to support growth
- demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills
- interview hourly employees and manage hiring, supervision, development, and termination
- ensure positive guest service in all areas
- respond to complaints and turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
