As a General Manager at our Jimmy John's locations, you will play a vital role in managing all aspects of restaurant operations to ensure seamless, efficient service that delivers world-class customer experiences. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing a team ranging from 3 to 15 employees with a focus on achieving restaurant profitability, maintaining cleanliness, and upholding organizational standards. You will be instrumental in driving sales goals, supporting employee development, and optimizing operational systems. Your leadership will impact every shift, ensuring that sandwiches stay freaky fresh, the store remains freaky clean, and every customer leaves satisfied.
Managing the day-to-day operations involves hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, and sometimes disciplining employees while fostering a positive work environment. You will oversee inventory control, supply ordering, food preparation supervision, and cash handling with complete accountability. With hands-on involvement during busy periods, your ability to lead, multitask, and uphold Jimmy John’s systems and procedures will be crucial to your success. This role demands physical stamina and a strong work ethic, as it typically involves working 50-80 hours per week, including weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and days off as needed
- Physical stamina to work 50-80 hours per week
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, talk, listen, and use vision effectively
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform physical tasks like climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching
- Ability to work in a moderate noise environment
- Must pass background checks as required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills including addition and subtraction
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles preferred
Job Duties
- Manages a staff of Assistant Managers and employees
- Assigns, oversees, and evaluates work for compliance
- Manage hiring, training, evaluating, discipline, and termination of employees
- Provides on the job training and coaching for new employees
- Delegates and manages ordering, receipt, storage, and issuing of food and supplies
- Assists in supervision, preparation, sales, and service of food
- Forecasts food items for shifts
- Supervises food preparation and service operations
- Assists team during rush periods and with customer service
- Ensures world-class customer service
- Completes daily food preparations
- Executes systems and procedures with integrity
- Completes paperwork accurately
- Controls inventory using weekly systems
- Conducts weekly manager meetings
- Audits systems and end of shift paperwork
- Performs preventative maintenance
- Responsible for cash drawers and deposits
- Performs other related duties
