The General Manager (GM) at Tatte is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all facets of café operations. As the face of Tatte within the community and for its guests, the GM ensures that each café embodies the brand’s values and delivers a warm, authentic, and inspiring environment. This role demands a hands-on leader who works closely with the front-of-house (FOH) team and collaborates with the chef and back-of-house (BOH) teams to drive exceptional quality, service standards, and overall café performance. The GM holds total accountability for the café's success, including financial management through profit and loss (P&L) ownership and operational oversight. The successful GM is a passionate people developer and performance manager, skilled in motivating and cultivating talent among both managers and hourly team members. They demonstrate a strong owner-operator mentality, setting personal high standards and modeling the guest experience to the team. Leadership in this role involves fostering an inclusive, supportive workplace culture while upholding Tatte’s brand and visual standards consistently across the café. The GM is also responsible for managing change effectively, ensuring the team adapts swiftly and accurately to new operational procedures, products, and service updates. The GM takes charge of staffing, ensuring the café is adequately staffed with individuals who represent Tatte’s core values. They navigate complex interpersonal situations with professionalism, including handling difficult conversations when necessary. Operationally, the GM oversees food safety management, cost control including food, labor, and other controllable expenses, and administrative requirements. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working as a General Manager, preferably in a high-volume, full service and/or polished fast casual restaurant
