As a leader in the hospitality industry, TSFR upholds a strong foundation based on its Core Purpose, Vision, Mission, and Core Values, which collectively drive the company culture and operational excellence. The company prides itself on fostering a work environment that values teamwork, professionalism, and continuous development of its staff, creating a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and employees alike. TSFR emphasizes community involvement to enhance brand awareness and increase sales, positioning itself as a respected and integral part of the communities it serves.
The General Manager position at TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants is a critical leadership role tasked with overseeing both the operational and financial performance as well as human capital management within a specific restaurant location. Reporting directly to the Area Director, the General Manager leads a team of Managers and hourly TEAM Members ensuring the seamless delivery of prompt, friendly service in alignment with company guidelines. This role demands a strong leadership presence, demonstrated through the ability to build a culture rooted in the organization’s Vision and Mission while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness.
The ideal candidate for General Manager will have achieved the status of Assistant General Manager or possess prior Unit General Manager experience in a similar organization. Completion of Apple II Management training is a prerequisite, alongside a proven track record of meeting or exceeding business goals set collaboratively with supervisors. The General Manager is entrusted with the full spectrum of restaurant operations, from managing inventory levels and enforcing alcohol awareness policies to scheduling staff efficiently based on sales demands and maintaining safety and security standards. Additionally, the role involves active community participation to promote the restaurant and its offerings, fostering team engagement through incentive contests and educational initiatives.
Key supervisory responsibilities encompass overseeing both management and hourly team members, ensuring quality recruitment, thorough training, consistent performance evaluations, and the proper execution of disciplinary protocols when necessary. The General Manager acts as a coach and mentor, encouraging ongoing professional development and fostering a cohesive team environment aligned with the company’s roadmap. Administrative duties are integral to the role, requiring the General Manager to oversee the accuracy and timeliness of accounting tasks, asset control, service contract management, and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
This position demands a high degree of business acumen, multi-unit management experience, and the capacity to champion change within a dynamic setting. The physical and mental requirements of the role include the ability to perform repetitive motions, manage stress effectively, communicate clearly, and stand or walk for extended periods during operational hours. TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants values flexibility, adaptability, and a guest-obsessed mindset, making the General Manager a key ambassador for the brand locally and within the wider hospitality market. This is a full-time leadership role offering a competitive salary reflective of the individual’s experience and qualifications, providing an excellent opportunity for career growth within a reputable and fast-growing restaurant group.
