Job Description

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR) is a renowned hospitality company specializing in restaurant management and operations. Known for its commitment to exceptional dining experiences, TSFR has built a reputation for emphasizing leadership, teamwork, and community involvement in all its locations. As a company operating multiple restaurant venues, TSFR integrates a strong company culture that aligns with its Core Purpose, Vision, Mission, and Core Values. The organization prioritizes operational excellence, financial stewardship, and human capital development to deliver superior guest service and business success. TSFR fosters a family-like environment where Managers and Hourly Team Members are empowered to grow professionally and contribute meaningfully to the restaurant's success.

The General Manager (GM) role at TSFR is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the operational and financial performance of a specific restaurant location. Reporting directly to the Area Director, the GM leads Managers and Hourly Team Members and ensures the day-to-day operations align with company standards and goals. The GM is expected to embody the company's values and leadership principles fully, fostering a positive culture driven by guest satisfaction, staff development, and operational efficiency. Candidates for this role typically have attained the status of Assistant General Manager or have prior Unit General Manager experience in a similar restaurant environment. Successful completion of Apple II Management training and demonstrated business goal attainment are prerequisites.

In this role, the General Manager manages all aspects of the restaurant environment, including guest service excellence, safety and sanitation standards, inventory control, and community engagement to boost brand presence. The GM implements incentive programs, manages scheduling to meet sales demands, and maintains compliance with all company policies and government regulations. Supervisory responsibilities include recruiting, training, and evaluating Managers and Team Members, fostering continuous staff development, and upholding a high standard of performance through formal evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary.

The GM also ensures robust administrative controls such as accurate financial reporting, asset management, compliance with laws, and budget adherence. They oversee service contracts, capital expenditures, and inventory analysis to optimize profitability. Personal development and leadership are also emphasized, with the GM serving as a role model and subject matter expert on store technologies. Physical and mental requirements demand high levels of dexterity, communication skills, mathematical reasoning, and physical stamina to handle the fast-paced and dynamic restaurant environment.

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants values diversity and provides equal employment opportunities, making reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Travel to other locations within the field may occasionally be required. The General Manager position is challenging, rewarding, and central to TSFR's mission of delivering outstanding restaurant experiences while cultivating a motivated and skilled workforce. Through leadership, operational insight, and dedication to excellence, the GM plays a vital role in the continued growth and success of TSFR's restaurant portfolio.
