Job Description

This hotel is operated by Greens Group, an independent franchisee that is separate and distinct from Marriott International, Inc. As a result, all aspects of employment, including hiring, compensation, benefits, and other employment policies, are managed exclusively by Greens Group. This means that if hired, employees will be employed by Greens Group rather than Marriott International. The hotel operates as a well-established franchise under the Marriott brand, ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction while benefiting from a global reputation and network.

The role of General Manager at this franchise hotel is pivotal for maintaining operational excellence and achieving financial success. This full-time, salaried position offers an annual salary ranging from $71,000 to $89,000, based on experience and qualifications. The General Manager takes on comprehensive responsibility for daily operations, overseeing a diverse team, managing revenue strategies, controlling expenses, and ensuring compliance with both company standards and brand expectations. This role demands a combination of strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and a guest-focused mindset to drive hotel performance.

The General Manager will be responsible for setting and communicating strategic goals that align with business plans and market demands. Through effective sales, pricing, and yield management tactics, the individual will secure revenue growth while maximizing profitability. Labor costs and operational expenses will be tightly monitored and adjusted as necessary to optimize financial performance. As a visible leader, the General Manager must remain actively engaged with staff, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high employee morale.

Additionally, the General Manager will oversee safety, security, and emergency response protocols, ensuring that the hotel provides a safe environment for guests and employees alike. This position also requires regular communication with corporate leadership and frequent reviews of financial performance, market trends, and competitive positioning.

Strong coaching abilities are essential to develop departmental managers and associates, enhancing their skills and encouraging professional growth. The General Manager is tasked with building cohesive teams that work collaboratively towards superior guest satisfaction, measured through tools such as Medallia feedback, and strategic financial indicators like RevPAR and STR Index scores. The role is dynamic, often requiring more than 50 hours per week including weekends and holidays to meet the demands of the hospitality industry. Success in this role will be evaluated based on guest satisfaction, associate engagement, and the attainment of financial goals.
