Job Description

The hiring property is a distinguished hotel, known for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high operational standards. With a reputation for excellence within the hospitality industry, this hotel serves a diverse clientele, including both leisure and business travelers. The establishment prides itself on its dedication to quality service, luxurious accommodations, and a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests returning. Operating within a competitive market, the hotel emphasizes financial performance, brand integrity, and community engagement as foundational elements of its success. The company values leadership that is strategic, innovative, and guest-focused, fostering a collaborative environment among its team members to ensure consistent achievement of business objectives and guest satisfaction goals.

The role of Property General Manager (GM) is a pivotal leadership position within the hotel. The GM is entrusted with overseeing all facets of hotel operations, ensuring that the property not only meets but exceeds financial targets and guest satisfaction metrics. This role requires a visionary leader capable of strategic planning, motivating diverse teams, and maintaining rigorous standards that align with company and brand expectations. The GM acts as the primary ambassador of the hotel, fostering strong relationships with guests, employees, ownership groups, and the local community, which is essential in promoting the hotel’s brand and reputation.

Key responsibilities include managing daily operations across departments to ensure organizational alignment and operational excellence. The GM drives financial success by managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue streams through innovative strategies. They are also responsible for recruiting, training, and developing hotel staff to build a skilled and motivated workforce that excels in delivering exceptional guest service. Monitoring guest feedback and implementing improvement plans is crucial to maintaining high service standards and ensuring positive guest experiences.

Additionally, the GM collaborates closely with sales and marketing teams to boost occupancy rates, revenue per available room (RevPAR), and market share. Overseeing property maintenance and capital improvement projects falls under their purview to ensure the hotel’s physical assets remain in prime condition. Compliance with company policies, brand standards, legal regulations, and safety protocols is strictly enforced by the GM to uphold operational integrity.

This role demands a hands-on leader who can effectively resolve escalated guest concerns and operational challenges while representing the hotel at industry and community events. The GM also manages human resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration, performance management, and adherence to labor laws and company SOPs. With a reported salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 annually, this position requires regular onsite presence and offers the opportunity to lead a prestigious hotel property toward continued growth and excellence.
