Job Description

Fogo de Chao is a premier Brazilian Steakhouse restaurant committed to delivering an unforgettable dining experience through the Culinary Art of Churrasco. With a mission centered on igniting fire and joy, Fogo de Chao passionately cares for its team, guests, and communities. This revered churrascaria is renowned for its commitment to high-quality meats, authentic flavors, and impeccable service, making it a standout destination for an exceptional dining journey. At Fogo, the philosophy goes beyond just serving food; it’s about fostering a purposeful future by bringing the best to the table every day. The company creates an inclusive environment where team members feel valued, supported, and given opportunities to grow both professionally and personally. The core values of teamwork, integrity, excellence, humility, and a supportive spirit known as Deixa Comigo, meaning "we've got you," guide every action and decision within the organization.

Currently, Fogo de Chao is seeking a dedicated and visionary General Manager to join their dynamic team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range from $85,000 to $125,000 annually, based on relevant work experience. The General Manager will hold an integral leadership role, ensuring the operational and financial success of the restaurant while championing brand consistency and guest satisfaction. This role demands an individual skilled in managing both Front of House and Heart of House leaders, overseeing staffing, development, and operational excellence. The General Manager will play a key role in recruiting, developing, and retaining restaurant leadership, as well as growing group dining sales revenues in partnership with the Sales Manager. Additionally, the role includes executing comprehensive training programs for new managers, managing guest sentiment by identifying trends and creating improvement plans, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant operations with at least five years of experience, preferably with knowledge of churrasco cuisine and churrascaria dining concepts. Education requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for candidates holding a bachelor's degree in hotel or restaurant management or a related field. The position also requires proficiency in food planning, purchasing, sanitation, security, policy implementation, personnel management, recordkeeping, and report preparation. Occasional travel is expected. Physically, the General Manager should possess the endurance and mental acuity to handle stressful, high-pressure situations and conflicts effectively. Team members at Fogo de Chao benefit from comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance available from the first of the month following their start date. Additional employee support includes company-paid life insurance and short-term disability where allowed, as well as a robust voluntary benefits package offering critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, permanent life insurance, and pet insurance options. Fogo de Chao proudly embraces equal opportunity employment and utilizes E Verify to ensure compliance.
