The General Manager position at Terry Black's BBQ offers an exceptional leadership opportunity to oversee day-to-day operations of one of BFH's flagship restaurants. This role is indispensable in ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality service, maintaining food excellence, and meeting financial targets in line with BFH brand standards. The General Manager leads and mentors the management team, supports team development, and is directly responsible for all aspects of guest satisfaction, cost control, and operational consistency. This position requires a passionate leader who combines strong supervisory skills with a sharp business acumen and a deep understanding of the fast-paced restaurant environment.
The role also involves critical oversight of food preparation, adherence to health and safety standards, and regulatory compliance including alcoholic beverage laws. Job Duties
- oversees food preparation ensuring compliance with health safety food handling and hygiene standards
- ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience
- handles customer complaints resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner
- ensures compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations
- estimates food and beverage costs
- manages inventory and purchases food and supplies
- conducts daily inspection of restaurant and equipment to ensure compliance with health safety food handling and hygiene standards
- periodically evaluates restaurant equipment for repairs and maintenance schedules for service
- maintains sales records and tracks cash receipts
- prepares and submits operations reports and other documentation requested by the company leadership
- performs other duties as assigned
