Job Description

Mo' Bettahs is a vibrant restaurant chain deeply rooted in Hawaiian culture, renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences through its core values: Kuleana (Responsibility), Ho'okipa (Hospitality and Aloha), Ho'okuku (Competitiveness), Mo'omeheu (Culture), Miki'oi (Fine Craftsmanship), and Pono (Righteousness). These values shape the company’s ethos and guide every team member to embody essential qualities such as hunger, kindness, energy, humility, and selflessness. Mo' Bettahs takes pride in fostering an environment that respects and celebrates Hawaiian traditions while pushing for excellence in food and service. The company places a strong emphasis on taking responsibility, showcasing aloha spirit across interactions with customers, team members, and vendors, and delivering impeccable hospitality that creates memorable guest experiences.

As a General Manager at Mo' Bettahs, you will play a crucial role in upholding the brand’s reputation and operational excellence. This leadership position demands a dynamic individual capable of managing both front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) functions proficiently. The General Manager is responsible for ensuring the restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently, maintaining cleanliness, overseeing customer service excellence, and driving same-store sales growth. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customer service concerns, ensuring positive overall customer reviews and adherence to Mo' Bettahs' quality food standards and procedures.

Your role will include leading weekly coordination meetings with key personnel such as the Manager in Training, Off-Premise Coordinator, and Certified Trainer. You'll also handle administrative duties such as reviewing weekly staff schedules, completing reports, managing inventory, and overseeing online ordering. Mastering the Mo’ Bettahs culture is essential, as this reinforces the restaurant’s mission and values in daily operations. You are expected to foster a working environment that is neat, safe, and compliant with all company policies – including health, safety, sanitation, and security standards.

This position requires a leader who can motivate and develop a team of up to 40 employees, demonstrating a proven ability to nurture and promote talent. Mo’ Bettahs seeks candidates who bring exceptional attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a collaborative, growth-oriented mindset. Candidates must be willing to engage in continual learning and obtain needed certifications to enhance operational knowledge and performance.

The role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $55,000 to $70,000 annually, along with lucrative bonus potential for meeting store targets. Additional benefits include free meals and drinks during shifts, discounts for family and friends, and comprehensive health-related insurance offerings. As a respected employer, Mo' Bettahs upholds equal opportunity employment practices and provides a supportive workplace environment that values diversity and inclusion.

If you are passionate about embodying Hawaiian values, leading with aloha, and elevating a thriving restaurant brand, this opportunity at Mo’ Bettahs provides a rewarding career path with meaningful impact and growth potential within the hospitality industry.
