The General Manager role at Cloud Cannabis & Stash Ventures is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring the dispensary operates efficiently, safely, and compliant with all local and state laws and regulations. This role requires an individual with a strategic mindset and the capability to manage and inspire a diverse team, focusing on delivering outstanding customer service and fostering a positive workplace environment. The General Manager is charged with maintaining high standards of security, inventory management, and overall operational excellence, all while guiding the team through comprehensive education on medical cannabis products and consumption methods.
Beyond daily operational oversight, this position involves setting ambitious sales, service, and profit goals, then leading the team to exceed these benchmarks. Operational collaboration is vital, working alongside the inventory specialist and procurement manager to ensure a steady supply of quality products that align with market demand and company standards. Staffing needs including scheduling are managed carefully to maintain optimal service levels.
Communication and coaching are continuous processes within this role, focused on ensuring top-notch service delivery and adherence to labor standards within the dispensary community. A successful General Manager will demonstrate strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting various business and regulatory documents and producing detailed reports and correspondence. This position also involves the development and implementation of operational plans and policies that govern daily dispensary functions. Financial, inventory, and customer data are monitored closely to detect trends and support decision-making, using dispensary sales and inventory management software effectively to maintain operational integrity.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related experience
- Five years of experience in a retail management environment
- Excellent customer communication and service skills
- Strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills
- Passionate about serving the Michigan cannabis community
- Strong accounting, math and computer skills
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations including weekends, holidays and evening hours
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Ensure the dispensary's compliance with security, inventory and local and state regulations
- Manage and inspire internal staff to deliver the highest level of customer service
- Ensure the safety and satisfaction of every customer and employee
- Provide a high level of education and development for staff pertaining to medical cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates and consumption mechanisms
- Set sales, service, and profit goals and lead staff to exceed them
- Work closely with Inventory Specialist and Procurement Manager to procure an adequate supply of quality products
- Fulfill staffing needs and coordinate scheduling
- Communicate with and coach staff on a regular basis to ensure the dispensary's excellence in service and labor practices within the community
- Read, analyze, and interpret documents relating to dispensary performance, general business periodicals, professional journals, safety, security and technical procedures, and governmental regulations
- Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Develop operations plans and implement and manage dispensary policies and procedures
- Document financial, inventory and customer trends
