The General Manager role at Terry Black's BBQ is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the restaurant. This role ensures alignment with brand standards in service delivery, food quality, and financial performance. The successful candidate will lead the management team, foster team development, and maintain operational consistency across the restaurant. Responsibilities include managing guest satisfaction, controlling costs, overseeing inventory, maintaining safety and hygiene standards, and ensuring regulatory compliance including alcoholic beverage regulations.
Moreover, the General Manager directly supervises hiring, training, scheduling, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and the termination of staff in accordance with company policies. They are integral in creating a positive and winning team culture, driving sales, and enhancing both customer and employee experiences. Job Duties
- Oversees food preparation ensuring compliance with health safety food handling and hygiene standards
- Ensures customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience
- Handles customer complaints resolving issues in a diplomatic and courteous manner
- Ensures compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations
- Estimates food and beverage costs
- Manages inventory and purchases food and supplies
- Conducts daily inspection of restaurant and equipment to ensure compliance with health safety food handling and hygiene standards
- Periodically evaluates restaurant equipment for repairs and maintenance schedules for service
- Maintains sales records and tracks cash receipts
- Prepares and submits operations reports and other documentation requested by the company leadership
- Performs other duties as assigned
