Job Description
Club Pilates is a nationally recognized and well-established Pilates studio brand committed to making Pilates accessible, affordable, and enjoyable for people of all ages and fitness levels. Founded with a passion for health and wellness, Club Pilates has grown its presence across 38 states and two countries, establishing itself as a leader in the boutique fitness industry. The company offers group reformer classes in diverse formats and levels, tailoring to beginners through advanced practitioners, and serving a wide demographic from young adults to seniors. This inclusivity and dedication to quality instruction have made it a trusted name for Pilates enthusiasts seeking to improve their fitness expertise in a supportive community environment.
With over 2,200 instructors delivering more than 17 million workouts annually, Club Pilates emphasizes high standards in training by being one of the first studios to develop a comprehensive 500-hour Teacher Training Program. This program ensures that instructors are thoroughly and safely trained to deliver group Pilates apparatus classes, reinforcing the brand's commitment to professionalism and effective teaching. Having sold 750 territories across the United States and Canada, the company's franchise model continues to expand rapidly, supported by consistent recognition in prestigious rankings such as Inc Magazine's Inc. 500 and Inc. 5000 lists as well as Entrepreneur Magazine's Franchise 500.
The General Manager position at Club Pilates is a full-time, exempt role based onsite at one of the studios. Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, the GM functions as the cornerstone of studio leadership overseeing all aspects from sales and staff coordination to customer experience and operational efficiency. This role requires a proactive leader skilled in both sales execution and team development, capable of fostering a productive and welcoming environment for both members and employees.
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for driving studio success by implementing effective sales strategies, managing the schedules and performance of instructors and sales staff, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This includes handling lead generation through grassroots marketing and networking, optimizing membership sales, organizing studio promotions and community events, and maintaining strong vendor relations to ensure retail products are well stocked. The position also demands proficiency with ClubReady software, enabling detailed analysis of revenue and attendance to inform business decisions. Additionally, you will enforce company policies, uphold studio cleanliness and safety standards, and deliver exceptional customer service.
Club Pilates encourages internal career growth, providing ample opportunities for General Managers who demonstrate leadership, business acumen, and a passion for fitness to expand their role and advance within the organization. The compensation package for this position includes an annual salary of $70,304 with additional commission and bonus structures, plus eligibility for employer-sponsored benefits and a 401(k) match after 90 days of employment. Working hours typically involve 35 or more hours per week, including weekdays and two Saturdays per month, emphasizing a balanced yet engaging work schedule.
Joining Club Pilates means becoming part of a dynamic and growing community dedicated to promoting health, wellness, and physical fitness through innovative Pilates programs. If you possess strong communication skills, are organized, reliable, and driven by results with a genuine enthusiasm for fitness, this role offers an exciting pathway to lead a thriving studio and make a tangible impact in the lives of members and staff alike.
