The General Manager position at Paséa Hotel & Spa is a senior leadership role tasked with overseeing all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring sustained profitability and delivering exceptional guest service. This full-time role boasts a competitive base salary range of $220,000 to $240,000 per year, with actual compensation adjusted based on the candidate’s skills and experience. The General Manager holds ultimate responsibility for maximizing the hotel’s revenue streams across all departments including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, Recreation, and more, while maintaining strict budget adherence to maximize profitability.

In this role, the General Manager must create and sustain an atmosphere that reflects the company’s core values, fostering a culture of service excellence, safety, and employee engagement. Acting as the final decision-maker on matters affecting guest welfare and hotel staff, the General Manager supports a work environment where fairness, respect, and consistent treatment are paramount. A key part of this leadership responsibility includes developing a world-class management team through effective recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management practices.

Operational duties encompass preparing and managing the annual budget, controlling expenses, and driving financial performance to exceed targets. The General Manager also closely monitors the property’s physical appearance and maintenance to uphold high standards while minimizing waste. Collaboration with the sales and marketing teams to optimize revenue opportunities is another critical element of this role, aimed at achieving superior market position and guest satisfaction.

The position requires a proven track record with at least three years of senior management experience within luxury hotel operations, demonstrating competence in navigating high volume, fast-paced environments. Candidates with a solid grasp of hotel service standards, guest relations, and hospitality etiquette are preferred. The ability to lead, mentor, and inspire teams to surpass guest expectations is essential, coupled with analytical skills to interpret profit and loss statements and identify operational efficiencies.

Job Requirements

  • Three or more years of related experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a similar setting
  • Solid knowledge of hotel management, hotel service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • Ability to lead and mentor strong and effective teams in high volume, time sensitive environment
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective operating and control processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide training that results in excellent guest service

Job Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a similar setting
  • Solid knowledge of hotel management, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • Proven leadership ability in high volume, time-sensitive environments
  • Experience mentoring and training staff for high guest satisfaction

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management preferred
  • Strong sales techniques and negotiation skills
  • Experience preparing budgets and analyzing profit and loss statements
