Job Description

Buffalo Wild Wings is a renowned sports bar and casual dining restaurant chain that started its journey back in 1982. Founded by two passionate wing lovers, Jim Disbrow and Scott Lowery, who sought to bring authentic Buffalo, New York–style chicken wings to Ohio, the brand has grown into a household name known for its welcoming neighborhood atmosphere, a front-row seat for every sports fan, and an impressive menu featuring 26 mouth-watering signature sauces and seasonings. The establishment prides itself on creating an energetic and fun environment, blending the excitement of game day with excellent food and beverages. This fast-paced and dynamic workplace focuses on delivering a memorable experience for guests through exceptional service and quality offerings. Joining Buffalo Wild Wings means becoming part of a vibrant team dedicated to maintaining its position at the top of the sports bar industry while constantly innovating and providing outstanding fan experiences.

The role of Sports Bar General Manager at Buffalo Wild Wings is a pivotal leadership position akin to being the head coach of the establishment. This position is responsible for orchestrating the ultimate sports bar experience by leading a talented management team including the Assistant General Manager, Hospitality Manager, Service Manager, Bar Manager, and Kitchen Manager. The General Manager oversees various operational facets such as local restaurant marketing, financial performance including Profit and Loss statements, team training and engagement, and community involvement through fundraising activities. The role demands a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of labor laws, health and safety codes, responsible alcohol service, and operational procedures to ensure the bar runs smoothly and safely.

This full-time managerial position offers exciting career development opportunities with eligibility for monthly and quarterly bonuses along with a comprehensive benefits package. It also offers the opportunity to advance into higher leadership roles such as Training General Manager or District Manager. The Sports Bar General Manager is expected to be resourceful, team-oriented, and passionate about developing others while driving profitability and customer satisfaction. Candidates with a high school diploma at minimum, complemented by bachelor’s degrees and years of management experience, particularly in restaurant general management, will find themselves well-suited to thrive in this role. Working at Buffalo Wild Wings not only means never missing a sporting event but also becoming part of a brand that is passionate about growth, leadership, and delivering a first-class game-day experience to every guest.
