The company prides itself on fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment where employees are valued and supported to contribute to the company's mission of enabling independence and mobility for all passengers.

The role of General Manager at MV Transportation is critical for ensuring operational excellence and business success at an assigned paratransit location. This leadership position is responsible for managing the day-to-day functions of the transportation contract, ensuring compliance with the policies of both the contracting agency and the company’s established procedures. The General Manager must effectively lead a skilled team, optimize fleet maintenance to meet service demands, and oversee safety and regulatory compliance to uphold the highest standards.

Key responsibilities include managing customer relations directly and through outreach programs, selecting and mentoring staff, handling communication with the team and support members, and maintaining rigorous oversight of the vehicle maintenance plan to ensure fleet readiness. In addition, the General Manager is tasked with conducting regular departmental audits and reviewing operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and ensuring financial targets and safety expectations are consistently met. This role also involves participating in labor relations, crafting annual budgets, and contributing insights for contract renewals.

Ideal candidates will bring at least five years of comprehensive operations management experience within a paratransit setting involving a fleet of 150 or more vehicles. A deep understanding of scheduling software, labor and union expense management, dispatch and driver recruitment, as well as safety protocols compliant with DOT and FTA regulations, is essential. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills combined with proficiency in MS Office applications and the ability to multitask effectively are also vital for success in this role.
