The company combines the spirit of traditional book selling with innovative technology and collaborative teamwork, making it an inspiring place for professional growth and innovation.

The General Manager role at ThriftBooks presents an exciting opportunity to lead a high-volume, multi-shift distribution center integral to the company’s supply chain operations. This Director-level position is designed for a seasoned, data-driven leader who thrives in dynamic environments that embrace technology and continuous change. The successful candidate will have the responsibility to oversee all facets of distribution operations, ensuring that the facility meets or exceeds standards in throughput, efficiency, quality, and safety. This leadership role demands a hands-on, resilient manager capable of developing strong operational teams across various shifts, promoting a culture of accountability, engagement, and professional development.

By focusing on scalable processes, operational best practices, and cross-functional collaboration, the General Manager will drive both efficiency and growth. The role calls for an individual who embraces Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to identify inefficiencies and implement sustainable solutions that minimize waste and improve quality. A vital part of the role includes workforce planning and retention strategies, ensuring the leadership pipeline continues to grow and support the evolving demands of the distribution center. This position emphasizes the importance of maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while fostering a people-first workplace culture. With a salary range of $110,000 to $125,000 per year, the role offers significant leadership responsibilities and the opportunity to impact the organization’s success directly. ThriftBooks is committed to diversity, equal opportunity, and creating an inclusive environment where all employees can thrive.
