This job opportunity is with a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee of McDonald’s, not McDonald’s USA. Although this franchisee uses McDonald’s logos and food products, they are a separate company and employer. The franchisee is solely responsible for all employment matters including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling employees. McDonald’s USA does not receive applications, nor are they involved in any employment decisions for this position. The position offered is that of a General Manager at a high-volume McDonald’s franchise location. The General Manager plays a critical leadership role with the responsibility of ensuring the restaurant is profitable and meets McDonald’s rigorous customer standards in quality, service, and cleanliness. These high standards mean that the General Manager must be highly organized, motivated, and capable of managing both the restaurant’s goals and its team effectively. The General Manager provides coaching, direction, and support to these managers to help them accomplish their departmental goals. Additionally, the General Manager is responsible for hiring and developing future leaders such as Department and Shift Managers to ensure the restaurant has the talent needed to grow into the future.
Ideal candidates for this role have prior experience as a General Manager, particularly in running high-volume quick service restaurants (QSRs). Experience in hospitality or retail settings is also valuable, but a background in QSR is strongly preferred. Candidates must be 18 years or older to qualify.
