Job Description
Wendy's is a renowned fast-food restaurant chain known for its fresh ingredients, signature square-shaped burgers, and commitment to customer satisfaction. As one of the largest hamburger fast-food chains in the world, Wendy's operates through company-owned and franchised locations, offering a dynamic work environment focused on growth, quality, and exceptional service. This particular opportunity is available at one of Wendy's franchised restaurants located at 514 W. Cevallos, San Antonio, TX 78204, a prime location serving the local community with quality meals and friendly service. Wendy's franchisees are independently owned and operated, meaning compensation, benefits, and career advancement programs may differ from company-owned branches.
The role available is that of a General Manager under the supervision of a District Manager. This position is crucial in managing the restaurant's overall operations, ensuring daily processes run smoothly while maintaining financial controls and fostering a productive, customer-focused team environment. The employment includes a competitive annual salary based on relevant experience, highlighting opportunities for growth and rewards based on performance. Key benefits include medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage extended to employees, their families, and domestic partners, along with paid time off, monthly performance bonuses, paid training, and coaching and mentoring programs designed to promote internal career development.
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for creating and managing staff schedules to maintain efficient restaurant operations. The ability to interview, hire, train, and orient new team members is essential to building a strong and motivated staff. Overseeing coaching and counseling efforts to develop team members and maintain positive team relations forms a significant part of this role. The General Manager will also ensure proper food handling procedures, equipment maintenance, and facility management are consistently followed to meet all health and safety standards, including inspection compliance. This leadership position demands problem-solving prowess, decision-making skills, and a results-oriented focus dedicated to delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility is an important aspect of this role, requiring the willingness to work up to 50-55 hours per week, including rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays. The General Manager must be physically capable of walking, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 50 pounds, reflecting the hands-on nature of the job. A valid driver's license in good standing and access to private transportation are also necessary for this position. Overall, this role offers a fantastic opportunity for experienced restaurant managers looking to lead in a thriving, well-established brand and contribute meaningfully to the success of a local Wendy's franchise location.
