The General Manager role at Rebel Hotel Company is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced hospitality leader to spearhead the repositioning and relaunch of a historic boutique hotel in Miami Beach. This full-time, on-site, in-person position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and involves overseeing the transformation of a cherished property that will undergo extensive renovation in 2026 to reopen as a luxury lifestyle destination. This position demands a visionary yet hands-on leader who can navigate the complexities of hotel repositioning and renovation projects. The General Manager will be charged with leading all aspects of hotel operations, from pre-renovation management through the reopening phase and stabilization as a leading luxury hotel. Responsibilities include developing and executing strategic business plans to drive revenue growth, enhance guest satisfaction, align brand standards, and maximize long-term asset value. The role requires full accountability for departmental leadership and operational excellence across all hotel functions, including Front Office, Housekeeping, and ancillary outlets.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience managing luxury or lifestyle hotels, a proven track record in leading renovations or rebrandings, and a passion for creating exceptional, personalized guest experiences. Leadership skills that inspire, mentor, and engage diverse teams during periods of change are critical. The role also involves building and maintaining strong relationships with guests, ownership groups, brand partners, vendors, and the local community, serving as the property's foremost ambassador.
Beyond operational leadership, the General Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, and applicable legal regulations. Financial stewardship is a key function, including preparing and managing the annual operating budget, capital expenditures, and sales and marketing plans. The successful candidate will implement effective revenue management and cost control strategies to meet or exceed profitability targets and optimize room yield.

Job Requirements
- bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred
- proven experience as a General Manager or senior hotel leader in the luxury or lifestyle hospitality segment
- prior experience managing hotel renovations, repositioning, rebrands, or openings preferred
- strong knowledge of boutique and luxury hotel operations
- demonstrated financial management skills including budgeting and P&L oversight
- excellent leadership and communication abilities
- ability to manage and motivate diverse teams
- availability to work on-site in Miami, FL
- willingness to lead through hotel renovation and relaunch phases
Job Qualifications
- proven experience as a General Manager or senior hotel leader within the luxury or lifestyle hospitality segment
- prior experience with hotel renovations, repositioning, rebrands, or openings strongly preferred
- strong understanding of boutique and luxury hotel operations with a passion for elevated, personalized guest service
- demonstrated financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
- exceptional leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
- ability to inspire, mentor, and lead diverse teams through periods of change
- excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field (preferred)
- branded luxury experience is a plus
Job Duties
