Sodexo is currently seeking a General Manager for School/Child Nutrition to manage its partnership with Huntsville Public Schools in Huntsville, TX. This role focuses on leading the child nutrition department with strong leadership and innovative program development to support student health and academic performance. The position emphasizes work-life balance, typically offering a Monday through Friday schedule to support the candidate’s personal and professional life harmony.

In this role, the General Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the school food service department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals and nutrition programs aligned with Sodexo’s standards and client expectations. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in food service management, with particular experience in child nutrition, safety, sanitation, and culinary production. They will lead by example, promoting a positive and collaborative work atmosphere while achieving financial and operational goals for both Sodexo and the Huntsville Public Schools.

Furthermore, the General Manager will develop strategic plans that enhance client and customer relationships, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with food service trends and regulations. Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for fostering a supportive environment for both staff and students. Proficiency in Sodexo’s Food Management System (FMS) and The Market Connection (TMC), along with strong report management capabilities, is preferred.

Job Qualifications
