The role of General Manager 3 at Sodexo involves overseeing the K-12 schools partnership with North Wasco School District in The Dalles, OR. This position is ideal for innovative leaders who are passionate about elevating student food service programs to the next level. The General Manager will be responsible for implementing Sodexo programs and systems within the school district, providing operational and financial oversight to the food and nutrition department. This includes holding accountability for day-to-day operations, achieving financial targets, ensuring contract commitments are fulfilled, and maintaining exceptional client satisfaction and retention. A strong financial acumen is required to manage budgets and meet financial goals while aligning with Sodexo’s standards.

The General Manager will act as a trusted adviser embedded within the client’s organization, working collaboratively with district administration, staff, employees, parents, students, and community members. The role demands excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach. Responsibilities include developing strategies for business growth, marketing, menu design, and ensuring food quality to create an exceptional student experience. Leadership capabilities are critical, as the General Manager will inspire and motivate the management team while fostering strong employee relations and a positive working environment. Preference is given to candidates with experience managing Oregon Child Nutrition programs. An Associate’s Degree is required, with demonstrated experience in school nutrition programs and child nutrition regulations, particularly within Oregon. Job Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or related field
