Job Requirements

  • At least two years experience as a General Manager in a busy select-service hotel or four years as an Assistant General Manager
  • computer and office skills including email communication and spreadsheet/database management
  • experience with hotel information and accounting systems related to the brand
  • strong leadership and customer service skills
  • ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hotel environment
  • experience interacting with hotel ownership and corporate staff
  • premium brand hotel experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of General Manager experience within a busy select-service hotel or four years as an Assistant General Manager
  • proficiency in hotel information systems and accounting software relevant to the brand
  • strong computer and office skills including effective communication through email and data manipulation in spreadsheets and databases
  • experience with premium hotel brands such as Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, or IHG highly preferred
  • demonstrated ability to lead and manage multi-million dollar business units in hospitality

Job Duties

  • Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced hotel environment
  • develop cohesion among associates and maximize their potential
  • maintain current market share while aggressively growing new prospects especially from nearby competitors
  • interact successfully with hotel ownership, key leaders, staff across the hotel, and corporate staff
  • focus on increasing Revenue Index, Flex/Flow, and Guest Satisfaction metrics
  • develop and implement staff optimization plans for newly hired and current leaders
  • establish positive relationships with sales teams including on-site and regional directors of sales and corporate sales and marketing leadership
