Job Requirements
- Education: At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- or a 4-year college degree with 4 to 5 years related experience
- or a 2-year college degree with 5 to 6 years related experience
- Physical ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly
- maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns
- multitasking and prioritization skills
- attendance of all required meetings and training
- participation in M.O.D. coverage as required
- maintain regular attendance per scheduling requirements
- maintain high personal appearance and grooming including wearing nametags

Job Duties
- Tour the operating departments daily, making adjustments as needed via department heads
- conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions and review of sales and operations efforts
- meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs in a timely fashion
- hold a monthly financial review with all department managers and supervisors
- ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity levels and accounting procedures
- develop managers through competency and corporate training programs
- conduct daily HHBR meetings with sales director focusing on prospecting and account calls
- actively participate in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and hosting events
- participate in required M.O.D. coverage as scheduled
- maintain direct contact with management trainees
- adhere to all Highgate policies and train managers on compliance
- assist in budget processes
- ensure training in service standards in all departments
- foster a positive team-oriented environment through employee development
- inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering
- ensure daily processing of invoices
- ensure timely submission of financial documents to corporate office
- oversee cleanliness and maintenance of property
- ensure staff provide attentive, friendly, courteous, and efficient service
- forecast monthly financial positions and analyze data
- prepare and conduct management interviews and hiring procedures
- interview final candidates for managerial positions
- perform Executive Committee performance appraisals
- motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline management personnel
- perform other duties as requested by senior management
- ensure equitable treatment of employees
- meet clients on property to assist sales
- be present in public areas during peak times
- ensure security and audits of hotel safe
- conduct monthly credit meetings and enforce credit policies
- complete corporate training modules and certify trainers
- ensure all meetings are scheduled and held on property
