Job Duties

  • Comply with all company and brand policies and procedures
  • coordinate planning and execution of activities with supervisors regarding time-tables and work schedules
  • determine workforce needs and handle recruitment and hiring of new staff
  • implement SOPs optimally in the hotel
  • analyze service and quality issues and identify training needs
  • implement training programs and adhere to training policies
  • aggressively pursue revenue goals
  • prepare and manage annual budget effectively controlling all operational expenses
  • keep accurate hotel sales records and ensure timely submission of all required records
  • enforce company procurement guidelines and implement cost savings strategies
  • provide leadership support and direction to the sales team and take active role in marketing
  • manage all hotel cash flow including petty cash and bank deposits
  • ensure property is inspected at least three times a day with two inspections personally conducted
  • maintain working knowledge of property management systems
  • develop and maintain relationships with community and civic organizations
  • maintain high standards of hospitality and service by motivating employees with training and meetings
  • motivate, coach and train team members, setting goals and providing feedback
  • maintain high visibility throughout the property
  • maintain knowledge of local competition and industry trends
  • handle emergencies promptly
  • conduct regular performance reviews and manage personnel records
  • ensure all associates are trained on emergency and security procedures
  • successfully maintain adequate staffing
  • hold daily meetings with department supervisors to review activities and goals
  • act upon guest requests promptly
  • ensure compliance with energy conservation and job safety requirements
  • maintain effective performance under pressure
  • prepare accurate and timely reports
  • perform additional duties as assigned by management
