Job Requirements

  • Must be able to communicate in Spanish due to overall frontline direct reports
  • Work is performed in both office and airport ramp environments, requiring exposure to weather conditions and airport noise
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work in physically demanding conditions when necessary
  • May require travel for meetings, training, or operational support
  • Ability to speak and understand, hear, and comprehend the English language
  • Be able to lift approximately 25 pounds and have a neat and professional appearance
  • Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Aviation Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive leadership experience in ground handling, airline operations, or airport services
  • Experience managing a unionized workforce, including knowledge of collective bargaining agreements (CBA) and labor relations
  • Proven ability to manage financial performance, budgets, and operational planning
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational management systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day station operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Establish and implement operational goals, performance standards, and cost-control measures
  • Monitor operational performance and initiate corrective actions to improve results
  • Coordinate and provide functional guidance and supervision to contracted ground handling agents
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and internal audit standards
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and reliable operation in accordance with safety regulations and best practices
  • Lead a positive employee relations environment, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements (CBA)
