About the Role:
The restaurant is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Restaurant General Manager or Director of Food and Beverage to lead multiple teams and drive operational excellence. This role is full-time and includes a comprehensive benefits package with free medical benefits for full-time employees. As a leader, you will manage supervisors across the restaurant, lead daily team meetings and line-ups, and implement training programs for servers, bussers, hosts, bartenders, managers, and hourly staff. Your efforts will focus on talent identification and development, fostering opportunities for growth at all levels. You will be responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, and handling disciplinary issues with professionalism.
Part of your role involves overseeing daily kitchen production in partnership with the chef, ensuring cleanliness and service area maintenance, and coordinating with floor management and outside service providers. You will also manage financial aspects such as budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning, collaborating closely with sales teams on contracts, billing, menus, and strategic sales goals. Executing long-term and short-term sales strategies, tracking internal sales performance and incentives, and maintaining high operational standards will be essential to meeting financial targets and marketing plans. This position requires flexibility to work varied schedules including evenings, mornings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

Job Requirements
- 3+ years of managerial experience in food and beverage or restaurant operations
- knowledge of restaurant management systems including POS and scheduling software
- certifications in food handling and alcohol awareness
- strong leadership and team-building skills
- excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications
- 3+ years as a restaurant GM, director of food and beverage, or manager in an upscale environment
- proven systems knowledge and experience with Microsoft suite, POS, reservations system, payroll, and scheduling
- food handler certification
- alcohol awareness certification

Job Duties
- Manage all supervisors in the restaurant and lead daily line-ups and regular department meetings
- implement new server, busser, host, and bartender training programs as well as training programs for new and existing management and hourly staff
- foster opportunities for your team to learn, grow, and develop their skills
- identify talent and provide the necessary training as positions open
- interview, hire, and train employees
- plan, assign, and direct work

- address complaints and effectively problem solve
- daily coordination of timely food production and kitchen cleanliness with the chef
- coordinate service area maintenance with floor management, employees, and outside services
- schedule ongoing maintenance of the physical asset through capital planning as required in the budget process
- collaborate with sales on contracted groups including intro letter, BEO's, billing, menus
- develop long term and short-term sales strategy
- produce and track internal sales goals and incentives
- manage budgets and forecasts, write annual budgets and capital plans
- meet the financial targets in the sales area by executing and enhancing the marketing plan, reacting quickly to new opportunities, and running consistently high operation standards
