Job Description
Restaura, a key member of the Phoenix3 Collective portfolio, is a trailblazer in hospitality and culinary culture, specializing in food and dining management services tailored for senior living and active aging communities. This innovative company is dedicated to setting new standards in its industry by leveraging cutting-edge technology, advanced data analytics, and forward-thinking strategies to deliver exceptional dining experiences that meet the unique needs of its clientele. Restaura emphasizes the fusion of nutrition science, culinary artistry, and hospitality excellence to craft memorable and nourishing dining experiences, making it a leading force in enhancing the quality of life for seniors through food service.
The General Kitchen Staff Member at Restaura plays an essential role in maintaining the backbone of the kitchen operations. This position ensures the smooth functioning of the kitchen by supporting the culinary team with vital tasks such as maintaining cleanliness, assisting with basic food preparation, organizing storage areas, and managing incoming deliveries. The role is an integral part of a fast-paced kitchen environment where reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and sanitation standards are paramount. Employees in this role will find themselves actively contributing to both the efficiency and safety of the kitchen, fostering a collaborative environment that upholds Restaura's high standards.
This role demands a hands-on individual dedicated to cleanliness and operational excellence. Duties include washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment in compliance with safety standards; assisting in food preparation tasks including chopping and portioning ingredients; managing the receipt and proper stocking of deliveries while adhering to the FIFO (first in, first out) method; and ensuring all kitchen and storage areas are kept clean and safe. The General Kitchen Staff Member also is responsible for disposing of waste correctly and supporting culinary team members with setting up and breaking down kitchen stations. Communicating effectively with management about equipment issues, shortages, or safety concerns is crucial. The position is designed for a team player who thrives under pressure and is flexible regarding work hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Restaura encourages candidates who may not meet every requirement but possess the determination and eagerness to learn and grow. The company values diversity and is committed to fostering a culture of learners and culture accelerators who contribute positively to their teams and communities. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or advance a career in culinary services within a respected company that prioritizes innovation, quality, and community impact. If you are passionate about maintaining high standards in a fast-moving, dynamic kitchen environment and want to be part of a company devoted to improving senior living through outstanding dining experiences, Restaura welcomes your application.
