Creative Dining Services is currently hiring a Part Time General Food Service Worker for their location at the newly renovated MSUFCU building in East Lansing, Michigan.

The General Food Service Worker role involves a wide range of responsibilities integral to the daily operation of the food service environment. The position is designed for individuals seeking weekend-free work schedules, with shifts set Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (including a 30-minute break), and Tuesday and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (also including a 30-minute break). This role is perfect for candidates interested in working in a professional setting that values operational efficiency, customer service, and teamwork.

Primary responsibilities include setting up breakfast and salad bars, performing front-of-house cleaning and stocking duties, handling cashier operations, assisting in coffee shop service, preparing for and assisting with catering events, prepping and serving food items from counters and steam tables, aiding in dishwashing, and cross-training across multiple food service stations. The position requires flexibility and willingness to perform various job-related duties as assigned, ensuring smooth and effective food service operations. The ideal candidate will have at least a high school diploma or equivalent and possess basic reading and math skills to support effective communication and operational tasks. Communicating comfortably in the primary languages spoken by guests at the location is also essential to provide excellent customer service and assist with daily food service activities.
