Employees at FirstService Residential benefit from competitive salaries, robust medical, dental, and retirement plans, along with career training programs and continuous professional development support. The company prides itself on delivering exceptional service in all aspects of property management, ensuring residents enjoy safe, welcoming, and well-managed communities.
Joining the FirstService Residential team as a part-time Gate Attendant presents an excellent opportunity to be part of this dynamic and dedicated property management leader. The Gate Attendant plays a crucial role in creating a safe and friendly environment for residents, guests, and vendors entering the community. This position offers hourly compensation between $19 and $20, commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. The primary focus of the role is to uphold the highest standards of customer service by greeting individuals warmly, maintaining communication, and ensuring the security of the property. The Gate Attendant serves as the first point of contact for all visitors, answering phone calls promptly and professionally, reporting any operational or safety concerns, and performing various administrative tasks such as data entry and issuing parking passes. This role requires multitasking abilities, a calm demeanor, and a pleasant disposition as the attendant will stand or walk for extended periods while attending to their duties.
Beyond the fundamental tasks of overseeing community access and security, the Gate Attendant also assists with opening and closing amenities such as clubhouses and pools, conducts compliance drives for parking enforcement, and documents daily activities or irregularities through written reports. The role demands a team-oriented mindset where collaboration with coworkers, residents, vendors, and guests is essential to promote a positive and respectful community culture. Compliance with company policies, adherence to safety protocols, and participation in mandatory company functions are also vital responsibilities. Additionally, the Gate Attendant may be involved in special projects and attending meetings to remain informed about new developments and company guidelines.
Candidates for this position should have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills in English, with additional languages being a favorable asset. Physical requirements include the ability to walk and stand for long durations, navigate stairs and uneven outdoor surfaces, and lift light weights. The work environment aligns with standard guard duties and includes flexibility for overtime when necessary. With a thorough onboarding and continuous support system, FirstService Residential equips its Gate Attendants with the tools needed to succeed and grow within the property management industry. This role is based in Reno, NV, offering candidates the chance to contribute to a reputable company known for its ethics, professionalism, and community commitment.
