The position includes responsibilities such as monitoring plant systems to identify abnormalities and responding promptly to alarms, delivering 24-hour on-call support in rotation with other operators, and partnering in the operation, repair, and startup of complex equipment. Technicians prepare various gas and utility systems for maintenance by conducting purging, cleaning, flushing, and isolating energy sources in accordance with safety protocols. They actively participate in the site’s Safe Work Permit program, both as authorized personnel and permit writers.

Operational duties extend to repairing and maintaining compressors, valves, pumps, cooling towers, water treatment systems, analyzers, and electronic devices crucial for gas production and delivery.
