Job Description
HumanGood is a reputable organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults through compassionate care and a supportive community environment. Specializing in senior living services, HumanGood maintains a commitment to quality, respect, and dignity for its residents. Their facilities provide a warm, safe, and vibrant atmosphere where seniors can thrive physically, socially, and emotionally. With an emphasis on meaningful engagement and personalized service, HumanGood is a leader in senior care that values both the residents they serve and the team members who make it all possible.
The role of Server/Waitstaff at HumanGood is integral to creating an inviting and pleasant dining experience for residents and guests alike. This full-time position operates Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm and offers a competitive wage ranging from $20.50 to $27.50 per hour, depending on experience. The Server/Waitstaff is responsible for preparing the dining area, taking accurate food and beverage orders, serving meals with attentiveness and care, and ensuring that dining tables are clean and ready for each visitor. As the first point of contact in the dining experience, this role demands excellent interpersonal skills, a friendly disposition, and a strong focus on customer service.
Successful candidates will have more than one year of prior experience in a waitstaff or server role, with experience working with seniors considered a valuable asset. Preferably, applicants should hold a Food Handler's or ServSafe certification, although this is not strictly mandatory. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential, as dining services are provided throughout these times to accommodate the residents’ needs.
HumanGood offers a robust benefits package designed to support the health, well-being, and financial security of their employees. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance starting the first of the month after the start date, 20 days of paid time off with increases based on years of service, seven company holidays, and a 401(k) plan with up to a 4% employer match and immediate vesting. In addition, employees may benefit from a health savings account option with employer contributions, tuition reimbursement, continuing education programs, and an employee assistance program provided at no cost. The company also offers a $25 per line unlimited cell phone plan, demonstrating its commitment to work-life convenience.
HumanGood is dedicated to equal opportunity employment and complies with federal employment laws. They encourage candidates to join their team and contribute to making a meaningful difference not only in the lives of seniors they serve but also within their own career paths. Employees at HumanGood are encouraged to grow professionally and personally, with opportunities for advancement and leadership roles. Working as a Server/Waitstaff in this reputable senior living community allows individuals to make a positive impact daily while enjoying a supportive, enriching workplace environment.
