The Restaurant Assistant Manager role at Cinemark is a pivotal position responsible for supporting and managing the daily restaurant operations within the theater environment. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or G.E.D. graduate preferred
  • minimum 1-2 years of restaurant supervisory experience preferred
  • completion of three basic management courses within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program
  • completion of food handling training and obtain relevant certification
  • completion of Safe Alcohol Service training if applicable
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • consistent attendance
  • energetic and friendly during shifts
  • provide excellent guest service
  • accurate cash handling and basic math skills
  • effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
  • management supervisory experience of 1-2 years preferred
  • completion of basic management courses within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program
  • basic food handling training and any required local or state certification
  • completion of Safe Alcohol Service training program if working with alcohol
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to lead, recruit, train, and resolve conflicts
  • bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • excellent time management and organizational skills
  • ability to work independently and in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Train and coach team members to serve food and drinks courteously and timely
  • interact verbally with guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
  • complete assigned administrative functions
  • ensure cash handling procedures comply with company and brand policy
  • manage alcohol service according to all state and federal laws and regulations
  • conduct regular inventory and order supplies as necessary
  • accept and audit deliveries
  • adhere to budgets by managing costs and driving sales growth
  • handle complex and challenging customer service scenarios
  • enforce dress code compliance among team members
  • learn and enforce Cinemark policies and procedures fairly and consistently
  • report employee relations issues to the General Manager or appropriate authority
  • maintain high work ethic and code of conduct
  • identify and sanitize high-contact areas
  • properly use personal protective equipment
  • address safety or security issues promptly
  • perform other work-related duties as assigned
