Sleep Inn & Suites is a reputable hotel located in Gulfport, Mississippi, dedicated to providing exceptional accommodation and hospitality services to our guests. Situated conveniently on 10393 US 49, our hotel is part of a trusted brand known for its commitment to comfort, cleanliness, and quality service. We pride ourselves on maintaining a welcoming and pleasant environment that meets the standards of travelers visiting Gulfport for business or leisure. Our team consists of 12 dedicated professionals who work collaboratively to ensure every guest experiences excellent service and a memorable stay.
We are currently seeking a full-time housekeeper to join our hard-working team. This role is integral to preserving the high standards Sleep Inn & Suites is known for by maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the property. The ideal candidate will be attentive to detail, ambitious, and proactive, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence. As a housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in enhancing guest satisfaction by ensuring that each room and public area is spotless and inviting. This position demands a responsible individual who can perform a variety of cleaning tasks efficiently while following safety regulations and hotel policies.
Your daily responsibilities will include cleaning guest rooms, such as bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens, along with common areas like lobbies and hallways. You will be responsible for changing bed linens, making beds, restocking amenities like toiletries and writing materials, and inspecting rooms for damages or maintenance needs, reporting any issues to management promptly. Additionally, your role involves vacuuming, dusting, cleaning windows, restocking cleaning supplies, and managing linen closets. You will also handle trash removal and dirty linens, ensuring proper sanitation to maintain health and safety standards. At times, deeper cleaning services such as carpet and upholstery cleaning will be required.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven housekeeping or cleaning experience
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to handle physical tasks including lifting and standing for long periods
- Must be punctual and reliable

- Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance

Job Duties
- Cleaning hotel rooms including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and public areas
- Changing bed linen and making beds
- Replenishing room amenities such as toiletries, drinking glasses and writing materials
- Inspecting rooms for any damages or maintenance issues and reporting them to management
- Vacuuming carpets, dusting furniture and cleaning windows
- Restocking cleaning supplies and linen closets
- Removing trash and dirty linen from rooms
- Following health and safety regulations to prevent accidents
- Providing additional cleaning services as required such as deep cleaning carpets and upholstery
- Responding to guest queries or complaints in a timely and professional manner
