The Full-Time Floor Supervisor role at Ace Retail Group is a pivotal position that holds responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day store operations, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires the candidate to step up as the primary point of leadership in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant Managers, guiding the team to meet company goals and maintain high standards of service. Key responsibilities include managing customer service processes, resolving complaints, assisting with inventory and merchandise management, maintaining store safety and cleanliness, and supporting loss prevention initiatives. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, assembly directions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and interpret bar graphs
  • ability to work independently
  • ability to work flexible hours
  • effective verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to foster teamwork and motivate others
  • able to stand for extended periods and perform physical activities typical in retail environments

Job Duties

  • assist with managing overall store operations
  • assume primary responsibility for store operations in the absence of the General Manager and/or Assistant Managers
  • manage and direct staff to achieve company goals and objectives
  • project a positive representation of Ace Retail Group
  • proactively assist customers in solving problems
  • greet customers entering and throughout the store
  • thank customers when finished and when leaving
  • project a friendly, outgoing demeanor
  • ensure all calls and pages are answered promptly and courteously
  • resolve customer complaints
  • ensure a positive and safe work environment
  • supervise general store operations
  • assist with opening and closing store procedures
  • help implement Store Support Center programs
  • assist with loss prevention, safety, and internal audits
  • communicate operational or managerial issues to the General Manager
  • assist with daily maintenance and cleanliness of store areas
  • complete weekly price changes and label updates
  • assist with cashiering functions including training and audits
  • ensure safe and efficient forklift operations and merchandise receiving
  • maintain back stock levels
  • complete cycle counts and negative on hand reports
  • assist with merchandise resets
  • ensure all signage is current
  • manage all aspects of store operations in absence of General Manager and Assistant Manager
  • lead by example and be approachable
  • assist in training associates
  • participate in store meetings
  • communicate merchandising, cost control, or sales ideas for follow up
  • partner with management to prepare for advancement
