The company is currently seeking a Full-Time Day Porter Lead to join their team at the location situated at 3725 Paseo Place, San Diego, CA 92130. This role offers a consistent work schedule from Friday through Tuesday, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, with Wednesdays and Thursdays off, making it an excellent option for those seeking reliable weekly hours with a competitive pay rate of $20 per hour, paid weekly. As a Day Porter Lead at LOT Commercial Property Services, you will be the face and eyes of the property, entrusted with the important responsibility of ensuring the property remains clean, presentable, and inviting throughout the day. This role goes beyond routine cleaning; it involves leadership and teamwork. You will support the onsite supervisor by helping to schedule and lead the portering team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Strong communication skills are critical, as you will frequently interact with property management and security departments to address ongoing needs and report any maintenance issues.

Job duties include picking up trash, emptying receptacles, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and wiping down surfaces to maintain cleanliness and hygiene. You will be responsible for restroom cleaning and upkeep of high-traffic areas, as well as cleaning exterior doors, windows, and windowsills to uphold the property’s curb appeal. An essential aspect of the role includes removing debris such as stickers, gum, spills, and graffiti, contributing to the overall aesthetic and safety of the environment. Regular property walkthroughs are an integral part of your daily routine, enabling you to inspect and ensure cleanliness standards are met consistently. You will also report repairs or maintenance needs to your supervisor to facilitate timely resolutions.

This position is physically demanding and requires someone comfortable being on their feet for extended periods, performing tasks involving bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, and pulling. You must be able to lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds and navigate large properties that may include walking stairs frequently. Experience in janitorial, custodial, or porter work, particularly in a leadership capacity, will help you succeed in this role.
