In the role of a Full-Time Cook at Mountain Manor Treatment Centers, you will play a critical part in supporting the facility’s mission by preparing safe and high-quality meals for clients, staff, and visitors. This position demands the preparation of large quantities of food—up to 100 portions—while strictly adhering to standardized recipes and maintaining high sanitation and food safety standards. You will be responsible for ensuring that food preparation routines comply with the center’s menus, delivering meals that meet quality expectations and nutritional requirements.

The cook’s responsibilities extend beyond cooking to include maintaining an impeccable kitchen environment, demonstrating dependable attendance and punctuality, and safeguarding company assets and food supplies. You will use various kitchen tools and equipment safely, including knives, slicers, choppers, mixers, ovens, and measuring instruments. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective communication with team members, clients, and visitors, making this role integral to the smooth operation of the facility’s food services.

This full-time position requires flexibility in scheduling, with shifts ranging from early mornings to early evenings, including weekend work. The role is ideal for individuals with prior food production experience who hold certification in food safety management. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including 5:00 AM-1:30 PM and 10:00 AM-6:30 PM shifts
  • Weekend work will be required

Job Qualifications

  • Should have 2 years related experience and/or training in food production
  • Current ServSafe Food Handler or Food Protection Manager Certification

Job Duties

  • Prepare large quantities (up to 100 portions) of high quality and great tasting food following standardized recipes within required production schedule and sanitation standards
  • Maintain basic food recipes preparation service and sanitation principles
  • Maintain a neat clean well-groomed appearance
  • Maintain an exceptionally high level of sanitation and food safety throughout the kitchen
  • Dependable with schedule requirements attendance and punctuality with no restrictions
  • Monitor and control security of operation protecting company assets and foods
  • Safely use knives slicers choppers mixers ovens measuring cups spoons and thermometers
