Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Prepare food in accordance with federal, state, and local standards
  • assist in preparing meals for residents, family, and employees
  • help deliver and take orders as needed
  • follow standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
  • complete daily production worksheets and waste logs
  • taste completed meals to ensure quality
  • monitor temperature of hot and cold foods through preparation and service
  • check and inspect food products and supplies upon delivery
  • supervise and assist in storage of supplies
  • notify Chef Manager or Director of supply or equipment needs
  • report equipment breakdowns and unsafe conditions
  • comply with health and sanitation regulations and procedures
  • perform other department duties as assigned
  • act in conformance with facility policies including Human Resources and HIPAA
  • attend department meetings
  • participate in mandatory training and competency evaluations
